Alternative Dispute Resolution
Law n. 144/2015 of September 8 establishes the principles and rules governing the operation of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entities.
This law applies to out-of-court dispute resolution procedures for domestic and cross-border disputes initiated by an ADR entity, when initiated by a consumer against a supplier of goods or service provider and related to contractual obligations arising from sales or service contracts concluded between suppliers of goods or service providers established and consumers residing in Portugal and the European Union.
Therefore, in compliance with the obligation imposed by this law, CasaMalli informs consumers and other business stakeholders that, in the event of a dispute, consumers may resort to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Entity.
The Directorate-General for Consumer Affairs publishes the list of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities that were notified to the European Commission, pursuant to Article 17, paragraph 2, of Law No. 144/2015 of September 8, as amended by Decree-Law No. 102/2017 of August 23.
